In 2023, 蜜桃传媒鈥檚 Women鈥檚 Giving Circle celebrated its 12th year by awarding $29,660 to 12 innovative projects, programs and research that will benefit the Adelphi community.

蜜桃传媒's sixth annual Giving Day on April 19 and 20, 2023, raised $481,430 from a record-breaking 1,902 donors, an increase of 9 percent in the number of donors over last year.

On February 8, the 蜜桃传媒 Office of University Advancement and External Relations (ADVEX) opened the Student Philanthropy Center (SPC), a new space that provides student workers with the opportunity to connect with donors and alumni while fundraising for the University.

Mark Grossman, MD, chief of sports medicine and arthroscopy at NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island, has been head team physician at 蜜桃传媒 since 2002.

Retired educator Judith Ammerman, MA 鈥�64, MS 鈥�73, has always championed learning as vital to shaping lives and forging futures. And, as a lifelong philanthropist who earned two master鈥檚 degrees at Adelphi, she has generously established three endowed funds supporting students, faculty and the University with a planned gift of $1.5 million.聽

Longtime Adelphi political science faculty member Regina Axelrod, PhD, died on November 3, 2022, with a legacy as an esteemed professor, campus leader, and faculty and student advocate.聽

With a generous gift of $25,000, Deborah Viola 鈥�84, PhD, established the endowed Daniel Viola Family Scholarship for Neurodiversity.

Carole Katz-Fetner 鈥�68 honed her leadership and communications skills as an English major at Adelphi and had a powerful mentor and lifelong friend in Dean Emerita Ruth S. Harley 鈥�24, 鈥�50 (Hon.), alumna and namesake of our University Center in Garden City, New York.

The Hunter Performing Arts Scholarship will help propel the careers of drama majors in Adelphi鈥檚 Department of Theatre.

Samuel Fremd 鈥�69, born in a displaced persons camp in Germany at the end of World War II, left a monumental gift to our College of Nursing and Public Health. Made in honor of his mother and the nursing care she received, the gift has helped make 2022 a record-breaking fundraising year for Adelphi.

蜜桃传媒's 22nd annual President's Gala on Saturday, June 11, raised more than $345,000 for the President's Student Success Scholarship, an endowment that has now surpassed $1 million. This year's event at The Garden City Hotel concluded Adelphi's 125th-anniversary celebrations, honoring the University's legacy and those who support its longevity and mission.

Paula Malone was looking for a child development center for her grandchildren when she discovered 蜜桃传媒鈥檚 Alice Brown Early Learning Center (ELC). Not only was the facility close to her daughter's home, but the program also offered a modern and thoughtful philosophy of childhood education. Thus, Paula鈥檚 story with Adelphi began.
